The expedition offers you the challenge of trekking the highest mountain in Africa. Kilimanjaro stands 5895m above the savannah of Tanzania and dominates the landscape for miles around.

You will ascend Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route, which is the best route to view the stunning landscape and offers easy acclimatization. The mountain is spectacular with lush rainforests at the base and clear blue skies at the snow covered peak.

You do not need to be extremely fit to undertake the trip as you will be walking at a very slow pace on the mountain to acclimatise to the altitude. This is a porter assisted trek therefore you will only be asked to carry a small lightweight day pack.

Each group is lead by a fully qualified Kilimanjaro National Park Mountain Guide assisted by porters and cooks. During the hotel stay a representative of the trekking company is always on hand for advice, and they are incredibly accommodating, courteous and friendly.

For a private expedition you are welcome to choose your own dates throughout the year. Please be aware that April and November are less suitable as this is the rainy season. A private expedition does have many advantages as you have complete flexibility of trip dates and itineraries.
