The British Expedition Company offers scheduled and private treks and expeditions to Kilimanjaro, Mt Elbrus, Machu Picchu, Everest Base Camp, The Great Wall of China and the Ancient site of Petra. We also have the expertise to offer bespoke tailored treks with an itinerary to suit you.

Mt Kilimanjaro

Trek the highest free standing mountain in the world. Africa’s highest peak stands at 5,896m above the savannah of Tanzania. Our route ascends through the rainforest all the way to the peak of the snow-capped mountain. The 6 - 7 day Machame Route aids acclimatisation and offers incredible views of the peak throughout.

The trip can also be extended to include a safari of 1-4 days and any onward travel.

Everest Base Camp

Follow in the footsteps of Everest summiteers as you ascend the Himalayan trail to the world famous Everest Base Camp. At 5,400m this is the site where all the south-side expeditions make their way to acclimatise before heading to the top of the world! The trek makes its way along an awe-inspiring trail surrounded by the world’s highest mountains with breath taking views of Everest along the way.

Mount Elbrus

Be one of the few to summit the highest mountain in Europe! You’ll trek through beautiful forested valleys, alpine meadows and glaciated mountain passes before scaling to the snow covered peak at 5,642m. This is winter walking at its very best! The trek includes time to practice ice axe & crampon skills so no previous mountaineering experience is required.

Mt Toubkal sits at 4,167m above the town of Aremd and offers unsurpassed
panoramas of Morocco and the incredible Atlas Mountains.

Touch down into Marrakech, Morocco’s Red City. The city is well known for
its colourful markets, bustling souqs and the Jemaa el-Fna (UNESCO World
Heritage Site). Spend the day wandering amongst the buzzing crowds
surrounded by aromatic spices and exotic fruits, before embarking on your
journey into mountains.

Trek the world famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It offers a stunning blend of Inca ruins, magnificent mountains and exotic vegetation. The trail winds over high mountain passes with unforgettable views, visiting numerous Inca ruins along the magnificent stone highway before descending to the famed citadel of Machu Picchu.

Great Wall of China

The only man-made structure you can see from space! Our trip starts with sightseeing in Beijing and then on to the Great Wall itself. We use a 6 day route on the very best section of the Great Wall which is away from the tourist masses and off the beaten track. You’ll stay in comfortable local farmsteads with one night camping on the Great Wall itself.

Trek to the Ancient site of Petra

You'll trek through the ‘Wadi Rum’ desert on the ‘Jordan Trail’ named by the ‘National Geographic’ as one of the best treks on the planet! The trail gives you the challenge of reaching the highest mountain in Jordan and the final destination of the route is at the ancient monastery of Petra - a world heritage site and one of the modern natural wonders of the world.
